After succumbing to a serious ankle injury in the Fall of 2021 and being rendered unable to play the piano, my co-founder Davis Reinhart (composer) and I turned our passion for musical outreach and education into an organization of our very own. Based out of Buellton, California, we work with local institutions to present concerts, masterclasses, in-school music sessions, and community events with a focus on rural areas. Our inaugural music festival "Buellton in the Park" launched alongside our young artists program "M2" in the summer of 2022.
As a freshman at Juilliard, I was inspired by the possibilities of combining different creative disciplines to form a different type of performance. Alongside an incredible creative team of composers and choreographers and a cast of over twenty musicians and dancers, we created, staged, and presented three full length shows. We also partnered with Opportunity Music Project in order to introduce their students to new collaborative possibilities. Watch the trailer for our second show "Illuminations" here.
In 2018, I was fortunate enough to have met composer Caroline Shaw during my time at Music Academy of the West. After playing "Gustave le Gray" for her and chatting about my interest and experience in Dance, I was pleasantly surprised when months later she reached out to put me in touch with Pam Tanowitz. Watch until the end to see me playing and walking across the stage at the same time!
